What was the 1st state to legalize bowhunting?

Wisconsin, 1934.

As of 2014, WI has legalized crossbow hunting. Archery licenses hit an all-time high at 250,000. 11% of all WI hunters are women, however 18% of all crossbow licenses were bought by women. Great for youth too.

I personally don't consider it a bow and believe it should have it's own long season, even over lapping with archery seasons, and I strongly support it as a legal hunting weapon allowing youth, women, aging hunters and even me with a tennis elbow or hunting in extreme cold temps or backyard hunting, well it's a good, effetive weapon that gets sportsman and women out there, and it's here to stay.
Concept Believer - faith in your archery equipment
Concept P50 - 9 for 11 on gray squirrels
Both bows are tack drivers!
