An argument...

Postby Up North » Fri Dec 04, 2015 8:13 am

Compound bows? Hmm. Concept Archery Bows! There. Compound bow subject taken care of.

OK seriously. I haven't had to or wanted to think about getting a new bow since I got a Concept Believer in about 2008-9. Not only that, but I realized how "one" I have become with it. I even shot another model concept for a while. I couldn't shoot it the same. I will bawl like a little lost fawn if something ever happens to my Believer.

Now that's where we differ, I do enjoy shooting my non believer believer, however I do enjoy shooting my Hoyt also, and I'm not afraid to say I like shooting deer with the crossbow too. I do not have a "one" go to bow I do not gun hunt because I kill all the deer I need by the time gun season starts and most of my spots are so close to houses I'd lose over half my spots if I had to gun hunt. All that said as mentioned above not having a 1 go to bow I try to use them in order each one gets a turn at bat and when it kills I move on to the next one and so on and so forth. When I get to the last deer of the season then it turns into a daily rotation i will switch weapons if it's cold in the morning the crossbow goes out then in the afternoon it's a crapshoot between the Hoyt or the Concept this year the crossbow took the last year however the non believer believer did take the first one.

Oh yeah and this is what my non believer believer and my Hoyt do at 30 yards. However I know the guy who made my beliver and if we're going on a shoot I'm taking that with me.

How did I never post your robinhood on our site. Those are the first group of arrows we sold you. Can't tell you how many times that has happened, more robbinhoods than any other I've ever seen from first time shooters - how many archers go years without robbinhoods? I've personally seen or photo seen at least 5 first DAY robbinhoods and lots of short ownership robinhoods. and that's being a relatively small company.

Why does this start out, an argument? do i need deer drives, poaching in the dark with x weapon, crossbows, and (one other that slips my mind right now) for hot topic debates? does that make it juicy?

I, like Russman, wanted to be the first post on this topic. I had a Bear prior to a Concept and I told my friend (who bought it from me), that I want right of first refusal if he sells it. I liked that bow a lot. Since I got the Believer and sold the Bear, I had only one bow to shoot. I now have a Concept Mini-29 and a Concept C-32 in addition to the Believer. I want to be "one" with those bows too. It will come. 2 deer down with the Mini already. I have the C-32 set for bowfishing, but I like the weight of it so it may be set up for hunting big woods when I have to walk a lot. So much hunting to do, so little time.

It's called improvising. Tee shirts make great target covers when they wear out

NJ rattler not for nothing but you know me probably as well as my own wife knows me and I am tighter than a frogs ass. That being said I will not go out and buy a cover for a bow target especially when I have old t-shirts that my wife will no longer let me wear, so this is what I do with them lol this one gave a little realistic approach at least for about 20 minutes until the entire deer was gone
