Juniper berries (grow on cedar often used on Lamb meals). Created a Najavo Juniper Berry Venison Stew. My best stew to date by far. Sagey in flavor and goes well with rosemary.
Next is the Staghorn Summack (poison summack looks way different and has white berries). Made a lot of leamonade flavored tea sweetened with sugar or honey. Also can drink straight as flavored tea. Boil water, float summack head(s), strain. Must be ripe and from July to mid to late fall is the best time to harvest.
Last was White Pine needle tea sweetened with backyard honey. Loaded in vitamin C and was actually very good, maybe even more so than the summack leamonade. I would make it again.
