Pimp or bust?

Postby Russman » Sun Feb 05, 2017 1:50 pm

Just tapped my 1st blackwalnut, doing a bunch more tomorrow, from what I have read makes a good syrup with a nutty undertone.
I guess I will know once trees start producing.

Nothing like real natural sugar and it's Something I've always wanted to do. For 15 years now every year I see a free or low cost class in the local paper, but never seem to find the time. Tapping is the easy fun part. Hopefully next winter I can trade some honey for maple syrup :D going to try bees again this spring for a 4th time - we go through a lot.
