NJ's wild "wine berry" wine

Postby k-villa » Thu Aug 25, 2016 5:34 pm

Grows wild here, roadsides and hedgerows, leaves a waxy feeling on finger, but ever so sweet and one of the best wild raspberries to pick in the area for sure. Smaller seeds, lots of pulp and sweet good flavor. Makes excellent jam.

Thanks to a neighbor who would be about 1hr away by means of horse and buggy, I had the best wine berry wine to date - only have had one other homemade wine berry wine but a fair amount of home made wines. I rate this one a 9 out of 10 for homemade wine. Pretty looking wine, sweet but not too sweet. If the recipe is given, I def would make it.
