Just discovered cast iron and tonight, a Trivet?

Postby ca-archer » Fri Nov 20, 2015 11:27 pm

Trivet, well that is new for me. Told this one is somewhat rare being so small in size. From Pennsylvania dutch (star, two spatulas, two hearts, two love birds. Winton on the back. Some of the old history of German's basically fleeing to Pennsylvania to start all over with nothing. $1 at a yard sale.

Yard sales also produced 3 cast iron pans and one dutch oven all for under $20. Three Saturdays in a row produced them. Got a 5th free but in somewhat rough shape. Discovered to love my cast iron pans and dutch oven thanks to a Concept camp chef. Crazy enough I paid $25 for a new lid that fits the 10" dutch oven and 10" frying pan. My little 8" cast iron fryer is one of my favorites too.
