Boil crabs for 12 minutes. Let cool. Remove top shell by prying with thumb. Remove and discard rib like, grayish meat. Cut in half and remove innards. Remove all legs other than front claws. Rinse out remain part of innards.
In a medium pot with lid, add one jar of sauce. Marinara of some sort is good, as was regular Prego spaghetti sauce. For all tomato sauces, I add a light serving of sugar to cut some of the acidic taste. Usually 1 to 2 teaspoons per jar - too much will ruin your sauce too. Add cayenne pepper to taste. Add 1/4 cup of water. Stir.
Next add your crabs, mix well, and cook on a very low simmer for about 30 minutes stirring often. Serve over al dente angel hair pasta. One dozen crabs on top of angel hair pasta is a good sized meal for two people.
To eat, you need to crack the shells of the front claws to get to the meat. For the body, you need to finger through pulling and sucking out the good stuff (meat) while spitting out pieces of shell. Not really an ideal first date meal, but oh so good. Keep extra napkins handy, check the walls for splatters when done, and don't wear your dress clothes.
