Recent discovery, my Hoyt Pro Custom

Postby k-villa » Tue May 03, 2016 8:46 pm

A few years back my brother in law gave me this bow, a 66" 44# Hoyt Pro-Custom recurve along with a Halloween version Bear Alaskan model. The Bear bow was in not so good of shape, however this Hoyt is in great shape.

Upon receiving it, I shot it once home and since then I think it has stayed unstrung. I often take out my one of my Bear bows or another favorite or two. On Sunday afternoon I took it out for the second time. What a beautiful bow. Long smooth draw, great fast speed, no vibration and one of the best shooting bows I own. 44# is a very comfortable weight, and 66" a very stable and smooth length. Very little recurve to the limb tips. I was hitting a lot even from far distances. I put on rubber blunts and threw a small Nerf ball throughout the yard. I even had a few flu flu arrows and made about a 60 yard shot on a bag target. Smoothest quietest recurve I think I own and zip too.

Anyone knows any history or dating on this bow, please share.

Ask for a few prayers for my BIL as well as he deals with some not so good health issues with his wife/my wife's sister. Thanks.
