Wood Sorrel (Wild Strawberries of a sort) Tea

New for me this year is Wood Sorrel Tea - a few batch bags made from just leaves, others from the berry which often just tastes like a big burst of water. The sorrel is more seedy, often faces upright, and does not look like a traditionally shaped strawberry. There are wild strawberries, often much ...

Juniper Berry (Cedar Berry) Venison Stew

Those clusters of blue berries on a cedar tree - best to pick late fall early winter depending on climate. I often double this and.or ok to freeze or eat for a meal or two a few days later when all flavors blends and merges better anyways. 2lbs venison cubes (dark browned seared preferred but not fu...

Interesting Ad and American Made Crossbows, and Parkers, and fiberglass compound/crossbow Limb ramble

Just saw an ad in a bowhunting magazine for a new? crossbow company and model, CamX X330. CamX is the company, the X330 shoots 330 fps. Looks very well built and USA made too. Crossbows and compounds that push limbs beyond what fiber glass is, lightly said, intended on doing, shoot them long enough ...

The 10 Yard pin

Bowhunting whitetails is often very close, especially in woodlands. I recommend considering a 10 yard pin if hunting from a treestand; avoid the high shoulder hit/lost deer shot...

Avg archery shot on a whitetail is under 20 (avg about 17-18 yards).

Good luck to all those going about. Be safe.

New Longest Sniper Shot Ever: Canadian Sniper kills an ISIS fighter 2.14 miles away, June 2017

A Canadian sniper has beat the record for the longest confirmed kill in military history by picking off an ISIS fighter from a staggering 11,319 feet. The bullet was fired from a McMillan TAC-50 rifle set on a high-rise tower and took 10 seconds to travel the 2.14 miles towards the fighter, who was ...
